ACKNOWLEDGE THE WORD AS OF GOD
..., because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. I Thessalonians 2:13 NKJV
You know, two people can hear God's word, and have different responses. One could believe it as the word of God which it truly is, while the other could just disregard it, or dismiss it, failing to recognise the word as having come from God.
You see, the results in the two scenarios can not be the same. The truth is that the Word of God will produce results in the life of those who recognise it and accept it as what it is; God's Word indeed. Observe what is said in Hebrews 4:2
"For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it." The same gospel was preached to two groups of people. The same Word, was profitable to one group, and didn't profit the other group. Why?
Because the other group did not have faith in the Word. They simply didn't believe. They didn't acknowledge it as what it is, i.e the word of God. The Word of God will be profitable to you, producing results, when you acknowledge it and accept it as having come from God. Clear your doubts, believe the Word, as from God.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for your precious Word which has come to me in Jesus Christ my Lord. I believe every word, every revelation you bring to me by your Spirit. The Word of God produces results in me, for me, and through me, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
