YOU ARE PART OF CHRIST
for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Ephesians 4:12 NKJV
Have you realised that you are actually a very part of Christ? Maybe you've thought about it, but many times, we still see ourselves as separate from Christ. We see ourselves as different from Christ, because we don't realise that we are Christ, we and the Lord Jesus are Christ.
We are members of the church, and the church is His body; The body of Christ. That's what we are. Then who is the Lord Jesus Christ? He is the head of the body. Colossians 1:18 says And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
If the church is the body of Christ, and the Lord Jesus is the head of the body, it therefore means that we are one being in God. Jesus is Christ the head, and we are Christ the body. We are not a separate institute from Him. We are His body, and He is our head. We are one.
This revelation is shown in 1 Corinthians 6:15, "do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?" And also in Acts 26:14-15, Jesus asked Saul, "why are you persecuting me" when Saul only persecuted the church. Jesus further said, "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting ", because if someone punched your body, then they punched you! We are not different from Christ! Hallelujah!
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for making me a part of you. For joining me into you, a member of your body, of your bone and your flesh. As one Spirit with you. Indeed I'm not different from my Lord. I am one with God, in Jesus mighty name. Amen. Glory to God!
