YOU HAVE A ROLE
from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:16.
Every joint, every member, every part of the body of Christ has its own work to do to help in the general growth and edification of the body.Every member of the body of Christ actually has his own duties and roles to play in ensuring the growth and edification of the body.
What this simply means is that you personally, are highly important to the general edification of the whole body of Christ.You are not just here completing numbers. You actually have a role to play. And that’s quite significant.
The Holy Spirit will inspire you and bring to your knowledge the things which are your roles and responsibilities in His body as you fellowship with Him. If you are conscious of these things and you do your own bit, then you help the body to grow in love.
But if not, then you consciously or subconsciously rob the body of Christ your own quota for her growth and edification. So what would you rather do? Don't think you are without a role or responsibility. You are important and have duties to play. So stick to the word and the Spirit in fellowship, and fullfil your own duties to the body.
