WHO WOULD HAVE BELIEVED, THAT THE MAN WHO PREACHED TO US AGAINST LUST WAS LOST IN LUST.
He was our mentor and counselled us with addiction and lust issues.
He was intelligent in leading prayers & preaching against lust.
He also was one of the men that spare headed deliverance sessions for those possessed with lustful spirits.
But who would have believed that he was lost in lust?
The first day he took us for evangelism, we won 12 harlots unto God.
In pursuit to live up to our mentors standard we fought for purity.
But who would have believed that he was lost in lust?
He made us experience long hours of prayers mostly against the spirit of lust in the Church.
He was the first to quote scriptures, lead prayers & the last to sleep at night.
But who would have believed that he was lost in lust?
Our quest ended the day we wanted to surprise him & join him for prayers by 1am & saw him by the corner, alone to his phone in erotic sites.
We noticed he slept in tears & woke up in regrets.
When he told us to accept we are weak to those lustful addictions and own up to him, it worked for us.
When he told us to rely on the Holy spirit & not just our decisions, it worked for us.
Maybe he didn't tell anyone about his secret struggles because he felt he was the Chief over spiritual matters in our clan.
Maybe he didn't rely on the Holy spirit for help because he was too busy in prayer meetings & programs.. #He_didn't!
He is human and can be tempted, but do you pray for your pastors or you just look for faults, do you rely on your mentors and forget God the ultimate example, as a leader won't you be vigilant cos a building made for years can crumble in a day.
Cant we come necked before God?
