SATURDAY 11TH NOVEMBER, 2023
REMAIN PRAYERFUL AND SENSITIVE
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; Colossians 4:2 NKJV
A successful Christian story is impossible to tell without the tales of prayer. This is because prayer, praying in the Spirit is very important to us. Jesus told us a lot about prayer. On one occasion, He told his disciples a parable to show how important it is to always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18: 1). The word translated faint means to be weary and lose heart.
That simply means, if you don't train yourself to be consistently prayerful, you will easily grow weary, tired and lose heart. Listen, life is not just fair without challenges. There's a lot on your path that will fight to bring you down. This is simply because there is a prince of this age,
Fighting to ensure people don't get to be who God has called them to be in this world. You cannot possibly live victoriously without prayer. It's simply the truth. On another occasion, Jesus told His disciples that they should pray, so that they wouldn't fall into temptation. (Luke 22:46)
What does that tell you? Without an effective prayer life, you'll be susceptible to fall for the desires of the flesh and for the traps of the enemy. These are things the Word of God has given you victory over. But can you possibly walk in your victory without being full of the Word and the Spirit? Prayer makes you full of the Spirit and sensitive to Him. If there is a time to pray all the more, the time is now.
Prayer: In the name of the Lord Jesus, I am a person of prayer. I pray always and without stopping. I pray by the mercies and grace of God. I pray with the understanding of the Word of God. I pray in the Spirit. I enjoy the blessing of prayer in Jesus name. Amen.
