THE WORD IS THE WAY

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 14:6 NKJV

Thomas,a disciple of Jesus had asked the Lord how they could know the way, when they didn't even know the destination to which He was going. Jesus responded to him, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." So Jesus revealed that the destination was the Father, and the way was He Himself Jesus.

But how does it make sense to you as a person on earth today, that Jesus is the way to the Father, the truth and the life? The key is in understanding who this Jesus is. He is the very word of the Father. (John 1:1,14-18). No one comes to the Father, except they receive His word. The word of God is the way, the word of God is the truth, the word of God is the life.

If you seem to be lost, you must return to the word. If you seem confused, not knowing what's happening, you must return to the word. If things don't seem to be going on well in life, you must return to the word. And we must never depart from the word. The word of God is Jesus Christ.

Only by accepting the word of the Father, can we come to Him. The Father reveals Himself to us, and communicates His truths and ideas to us, by speaking to us. When he speaks, it is His word that is released. He has spoken to us finitely (Hebrews 1:1-2). We only need to go to His word to hear Him and know Him. The word of God is our life. Jesus is our life.

Affirmation: I choose to free up time to have the word of God in my heart. I give myself to the word. I listen to the word, I believe the word, I live my life by practicing the word. The word of God is the way through which I came to the Father. The word of God is the truth to life, and it is life itself. The word of God is most important to me. I live by the word. Thank you Lord Jesus.
