THE SPIRIT OF TRANSFORMATION
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. II Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
The Holy Spirit is the promise of God to Abraham and His Seed, who is Jesus Christ. When we were birthed into Christ by faith in Him, we were numbered with Him, and thus received the same Spirit whom He received here on earth.
The coming of the Holy Spirit to us is the fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham and His Seed, whom we are in Christ Jesus. This Spirit of God, who is Christ in us is God's power at work in us, and is God's person in us.
He is the Spirit of transformation. One thing He seeks to achieve in us, is to transform us to walk as Christ walks. This is possible because when He came into us, He put in us the life that Christ has. But we need to be taught to think, reason and function as Christ because we have His life.
Therefore the Holy Spirit does a work on us as we behold His glory, from His word and others who walk in His word. He transforms us from our thinking and mind into the same image of glory we behold. It's the Holy Spirit that makes the difference in our life, and the word of God is His material for change. Glory to God.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for your Spirit and your word whom you have given to me and to others who believe. I am being transformed daily, into the same glory I behold in your word, by the Spirit of God in Jesus name. Amen.
