TEN WAYS TO KNOW A SON OR DAUGHTER HAS DISCONNECTED FROM YOU, EVEN THOUGH HE OR SHE IS STILL HANGING AROUND YOU:
Only few leaders can spot disconnection.
All betrayals are products of our inability to spot disconnection at the very early stage.
When people disconnect from you, do nothing with them even after they reconnect with you. Until you are double sure they are completely repented.
I have 9 pastors at the moment working under me. Only four of them are still 100 percent connected to me.
It is always painful when you know the man you gave your biggest effort to, is the same man, that is disconnecting from you without thinking twice.
Always see your leaders as the sockets in your house, one or two may not be working, but you are the one that will have to know how to only stay connected to the socket that is working. All sockets can't go bad at the same time.
NOW THE TEN WAYS TO SPOT DISCONNECTION ON TIME:
1. When they are disconnected they stop coming to church habitually. Even Dangote the richest man in Africa goes to the mosque habitually.
2. When they are disconnected they stop giving to God because they know you have access to God's money. The idea is to frustrate you.
3. When they are disconnected they stop giving to you. Anyone who still remembers to bless you financially is still with you. This is the first thing they do. I advise all leaders to have faith to survive without sons, because one day you may not see some of the sons around.
4. When they are disconnected, they are completely reserved and withdrawn. You just notice they have gone into their shell.
5. When they are disconnected, they start reacting to everything you say. Jesus said he that offends not in words, the same is a perfect man. Do you think anyone is perfect by the above definition of perfection?
6. When they are disconnected, they take major steps without seeking your counsel, you just hear that they have done things from either their friends or from Facebook. But if they run into trouble, it is you they will still run to for help.
7. When they are disconnected, they no longer talk about you with excitement and joy. Anywhere they hear your name for good they are not happy.
8. When they are disconnected, everyone who hates you will now become their best friend. Watch how they connect with your haters.
9. When they are disconnected, they see only your faults and not your efforts.
10. When they are disconnected from you they distance themselves from everyone who loves you.
MY ADVICE TO YOU
When you notice you are disconnected, try and purge your heart of every offence and reconnect back immediately. Where you can't reconnect, it is better you move away from the presence of a father you are bittered with because everything you do as service to him becomes a curse. Some sons are badly injured; it is better to tell them the truth, either you are healed or you move on. You can't become a bad example to others who still want to be connected. The father and son relationship is not by force, it is by choice. Hear it again, it is not by force it is by choice. Nowhere is it written that if one man is not your father you will fail. You fail because you want to fail.
