“This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.”

‭‭John‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Often many people wonder why was Judas the one to betray the Lord Jesus? Was it his fate? Was it his destiny? Well, it was foretold that one would betray the master, but Judas didn't have his name on that prophecy.

Judas made himself available to fit into that use, by the life he lived. He had the problem of greed, and he didn't seek to be delivered from it. Rather than come to Jesus for help from this challenge, he made it a lifestyle, and this lifestyle exposed him to the devil.

If one has a struggle with a certain negative lifestyle, and doesn't think he needs to be free from it, then that's a big problem. Because such a lifestyle exposes such a person to be an agent for the devil's work.

God expects that our life will be a daily progress of being renewed by His word. We must daily drop off old habits, old characters, and old thought processes. Refuse to be identified by something evil, and let God's Word fill your heart.

Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you because you've made me born again, having the new man, clothed in true righteousness and holiness. Help me Lord to put on this new character of mine daily, from glory to glory in Jesus name. Amen.
