DECIDE TO PRACTICE THE WORD

“If you know these things, blessed and happy and to be envied are you if you practice them [if you act accordingly and really do them].”

‭‭John‬ ‭13:17‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

There's a difference between knowing the word and doing the word. It's one thing to know the word, but it's even better to practice the word you know. Jesus said blessed are you if you practice these His word.

Many people have a head knowledge of the word. They can quote the scriptures. Some even have some deep understanding of what the Bible says, but not many pay attention to allowing the word of God affect their daily way of living.

When God's word is not in your consciousness, and when you don't consider the word your Lord, you wouldn't practice the word. But if you will consistently meditate on the word you know, then it'll be in your consciousness, and you'll practice it.

Jesus wants us to make that shift, from being hearers of the word only to being people who pay attention to hear and also pay attention to do. The better blessing is in the doing.

Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for your word to me which shapes my life and transforms my mind. I choose to be a doer of your word, practicing all your Spirit teaches me, in Jesus name. Amen.
