DON'T TRUST ALL YOU SEE ON SOCIAL MEDIA!

Some days ago, I was scrolling through my Facebook news feed and I saw a post made by Micheal rich.

An experience that I had in 2020 during the lockdown immediately came to my mind. Hence, my writing this.

During the lockdown, I was really looking for something to do or somewhere to put money because everyone was at home and schools were not in session then I chose Bitcoin.

There was this person who I had recently met on Facebook.

In fact, if I mention his name most of you might know him. His social media page was and is still filled with write-ups and pictures that looked like a life totally devoted to the things of God.

He would make post about helping those who were in need and people were literally begging him to mentor them seeing as he was into forex trading and Bitcoin.

Before you say I wasn't smart, I made sure we had conversations during video calls. In doing that, trust was built.

After months of communication, I sent him 45,000 which was from my brother and asked him to transfer some Bitcoin.

That was how it all started, from

 "I'll make the payment tomorrow",

"I've been very busy",  the whole shebang.

I was still very patient as I had no reason to believe that this "man who loves God" had no reason to lie or so I thought.

When I kept asking, he flared up and started threatening to block me and all. I called and called, eventually he stopped picking my calls

Long story cut short, I got tired of asking and stopped. The funniest thing was that he was the one who even blocked me.

At that point in my life, I began questioning all the things around me

We should really be careful of who or what we trust on social media. Some people might be professing Christ online but they're far from it in real life.

Don't blindly follow anyone because they have lots of followers or they have lots of people who post their pictures and sing their praises.

Do not join the bandwagon

Test every spirit, let your eyes be open!
