Mercy Nnenda Chinwo was born on September 5, 1990. She was born into the family of five in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. Chinwo started from the children’s choir at age 8. Subsequently, she moved into the adult choir and became the music director of her local church. She was also lending her voice to gospel music ministers like Sammie Okposo, Joe Praize, Buchi, Chris Morgan and Preye. Later on, she began to participate in musical competitions until she found Nigerian Idol. Eventually, she emerged winner in the season 2 of the Nigerian talent show, and came to limelight.

Apart from Mercy Chinwo, Mr. Timothy also manage music ministers like Frank Edwards, Preye Odede, Hilda Dokubo, and others who are using their music as a dynamic tool for Christ.  Chinwo’s major drive is passion; she had her eyes on the bigger picture, but started small. She knew exactly what she wanted and kept her eyes on the goal. Mercy Chinwo started from the children choir until she got a bigger platform. Preparedness must meet opportunity for success to happen.

What are you doing about your dream? Are you taking it one step at a time or are you just waiting to ‘blow’? When Mercy Chinwo started singing gospel music, she was advised by some people to substitute the name ‘Jesus’ in her song for ‘Baba’ or ‘Father’ in order to attract everyone. She faced rejection but it did not deter her. Mercy wasn’t ashamed to stand out even when it meant standing alone. If she has to wait, she waits because she believes that waiting is part of the process. At some point, she was rejected, but she saw it as a test of faith and time.

It is never easy to push on in life when people doubt you. When they look down on you. When they judge you from your background, race, or even your inabilities.

What matters is you believing in your dreams and going out of your way to achieve them despite naysayers.

Life comes once. Never let doubt kill your full potential of living life to the fullest.

Mercy Chinwo marriage has been the talk of the town for the past 3 weeks now, she officially had a church wedding on Saturday with her husband Pastor Blessed of Water Brooks Church, Lekki.

May God bless your union.

Keep riding on the wings of The Holy Ghost. We love what you represent in The Body of Christ. Keep shining bright.
