TO THE YOUNG MINISTER; 4 F's TO AVOID _ Evang Peter Ikechukwu

YOUNG MINISTER

If you want to go far in ministry run away from these five (5) things. They all start with the letter 'F'.

1. Fornication:

1 Corinthians 10:8

New International Version

8 We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died.

Any time you fornicate, something dies in you. The potency of your call declines. Doubt this to your own detriment.

2. Fame:

Isaiah 14:12-14

King James Version

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Too much quest for visibility will end up bringing you down. Allow God to exalt you at the set time. Lucufer's quest for visibility was what destroyed him and turned him into the devil.

3. Financial obsession:

2 Timothy 4:10

King James Version

10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

Demas was actually more connected to Paul than Timothy, he made a shipwreck of his ministry because of materialism. He was suppose to be Paul's direct assistant but lost it to the love of money.

4  Fraternity with fools:

Proverbs 13:20

King James Version

20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Many young ministers ended up in occultism and mysticism because of wrong association. Watch you you walk with. Remember,  blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in seat of the scornful...

5. Familiarity with disregard:

Hebrews 12:28 - Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

There are people who have lost reverence for God because they feel He is too merciful. Our reverence and godly fear doesn't mean legalism. In as much as He is our father, we shouldn't be too familiar to a point that we lose this godly fear and reverence. This over familiarity is why people in Church use sacred things for comedy....something as sacred as the blood of Jesus is used for comedy.....we bring comedians and they tell lies from our podiums to make us laugh. Don't be like that.

Also, respect and honor your pastor and spiritual leader. Don't allow over familiarity make you despise your spiritual leader.

Hear what the Bible says;

“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.” Heb 13:17

This also is in the Bible, you can't edit it.

Observe this and you will sure end well.
