HOW DO WE WALK
that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:4
Having been born again, the word of God helps us to understand that we have been translated from the realm of flesh to the realm of the Spirit and also been re-created, from the nature of the flesh to the nature of the spirit. But you see, this is just a start to a new beautiful and glorious life.
Yes you received the life of Christ in your new birth. But if you must experience that life in reality, then you must live the life; because life is meant to be lived. And that’s the subject of our teaching today. "How do you walk?" simply means how do you live? What now defines your way of life? What do you call a life having been born again?
Christ condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit... We are those who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit. This is what you were born again to be, one who lives after the Spirit and not after sinful flesh. And you should be Like that.
Note that this will not just happen automatically because you were born again and now have the Spirit's Life in you, no! If you ignore His Life in you, you will never live it out. You will never experience it. Therefore you must seize it, and work in the understanding of it. You have a responsibility to walk in fellowship with the Spirit and Word of God. You are blessed. TCF.
