PUT YOURSELF IN HIS SHOES 1
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17
Many times Christians, when they study the Scriptures, see themselves wrongly as they shouldn’t, or see themselves in the wrong point of view even when truly studying the scriptures. This has led to the problems lots of Christians have in practicing the Word, because they see it wrong and practice it wrong.
For instance, one comes across a portion of the Bible, that talks about Jesus healing the sick, maybe, by His word or laying on of hands. Then because they feel a symptom in their body, they see themselves as the sick needing healing from Jesus.
That’s so wrong, because as beautiful as healing is, that’s not what’s the word says about you. Jesus Himself said that you who believe will lay hands on the sick, and they’d be healed. (Mark 16:18). Then in another portion the Holy Spirit inspired;
If the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies, because of His Spirit who dwells in you (Romans 8:11). All these are nothing like you being the sick or needing healing. He made you a healer! But because most people have their view twisted, they see things wrong and get things wrong. Remember, as he is, so are you in this world. We will continue tomorrow. Be blessed. TCF.
