PUT YOURSELF IN HIS SHOES 2
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17
Yesterday, we saw how people read the Scriptures with the wrong point of view. They see themselves in the wrong light from the start, and so they get everything wrong and mixed up.An example was the case of Jesus healing the sick, and then the Christian sees himself as the one needing healing from Jesus. So wrong!
The same is also obtainable with sin and the flesh. Many Christians because of their wrong experiences in life, see themselves as needing deliverance from sin or the flesh.Meanwhile, the Holy Spirit shows us explicitly, that if we (in Christ) have been united together in the likeness of His death (and yes we have), we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection.
Our old man was crucified with Him, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. For he who has died, has been freed from sin. (Romans 6:5-7).You see, the only deliverance the Christian needs is the apt revelation and strong acceptance of truth.
That’s right! See yourself rightly in the Word, accept it boldly and strongly and practice it. All you need to do is to renew your mind to be continually aware and filled with the truth. So that there will be an alignment in your inner man with who Christ says you are! As He is, so are you in this world! Be blessed. TCF.
