1 Timothy 1:18

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

Many Christians have received words of grace and prophecies spoken into their lives. And truly these words carry power, and carry with them the potency of becoming in reality just what they were declared to be. But you see, a word of prophecy spoken over you wouldn’t just come to fulfillment because it was spoken.

What makes the difference between a prophecy remaining a prophecy or becoming a reality is simply how it was handled by the one Who received the prophecy. We must learn not to ignore the Words of prophecies spoken to us or spoken about us. We must pray with them and work towards them .

That is how the fulfillment of prophecies brought forth. By giving them attention in prayer, and working towards them. Paul admonishes Timothy to pay attention to the prophecies spoken concerning him, and by them wage a good war, in faith and clear conscience.

This means now by extension to us, that we should get in our consciences the prophecies spoken to us or about us, because they will be an inspiration for us by which we will fight the good fight of faith. Those prophecies become a source of strength even in seemingly bad days, and become a push for us to move on. And as we do so, we birth the fulfillment of them in us. By praying with them and working towards them, we will see the reality of the prophecies in our lives! Glory to God! TCF
