FOR THE PROSPEROUS, SEEK THE KINGDOM FIRST
Matthew 19:29
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.
Prosperity is a kingdom thing. God really expects us to live prosperously, in all things we do. First we must embrace spiritual prosperity (our soul should prosper), then prosperity health wise, and finally, material and social prosperity. (3John 1:2).
God is very much interested in our material and social prosperity, because He knows that our prosperity in that area will be a huge asset to the body of Christ, so long as we are kingdom minded. And that's what He seeks to achieve in us, before we prosper expressly. You see, money is not mammon.
Mammon is the love of money, such that money becomes an idol or a God in ones life. That's what God is against. So He wants you to work on yourself such that the love of money dies in a way it doesn't move you to compromise at all, so that no matter how much of it you touch, you'll know that the essence is for the kingdom.
If you can let go things that are supposedly precious to you, because of the kingdom's sake, then you are ready to receive everything forgone, even in a hundred fold, with persecution. (Mark 10:29), for the kingdom's sake as well. Work on your appetite and master them. If you want the prosperous, seek the kingdom first. (Matthew 6:33). You're blessed. -TCF
