God has been so good to us as a mission.

It has been 40 amazing and miraculous years of our father in the Lord, Pastor Enoch Adeboye as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

We give all the glory to God!

Here are 40 major milestones from this incredible journey.

1. Pastor E. A. Adeboye became the General Overseer of RCCG in 1981 at 39 years old.

2. Under his leadership, RCCG is now in more than 197 Nations of the World.

3. He moved to the Redemption Camp, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, a city that now houses the New 3 by 3 KM Auditorium, amongst other notable landmarks.

4. He holds a position as Professor of Mathematics in the University of Lagos.

5. He has several Honorary Degrees from reputable Universities and Colleges in Nigeria and across the World. 




6. He started the Holy Ghost Congress that has been on for more than two decades. The Program had over 7 million people in its maiden edition. 

7. Pastor E. A. Adeboye has several endowments in several Nigerian Universities.

8. He founded Christ The Redeemers Ministry (CRM), an arm of the RCCG that he is currently the President of.

9. He founded the Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State, Nigeria. 

10. He started the Special Holy Ghost Service, a program that began because he asked God for a birthday present.




11. Under his watch, RCCG has over 50,000 parishes worldwide.

12. Pastor E. A. Adeboye has written well over 60 books that have blessed millions of lives. 

13. He is the Author of the Open Heavens Devotional, a yearly devotional that he started after the Holy Ghost Congress themed 'Open Heavens'.

14. In 2015, he received the Presidential Merit Award from the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

15. In 2005, he received a certificate of recognition from the Congress of the United States of America.

16. He was given a Centenary Award in 2014 to mark Nigeria's 100 years anniversary.

17. He is the brain behind the Annual Let's-Go-A-Fishing Program, an Evangelical Outreach aimed at bringing souls into the Kingdom of God.

18. A world class health facility in LASUTH is named after him and his wife.

19. An intensive Care unit in the Plateau State Specialist Hospital is named after him and his wife.

20. In 2009, he led the Pre-Summit Prayers of the 64th General Assembly of the United Nations Headquarters.

21. He was named among the World's 50 Most Powerful People by Newsweek Magazine in 2008.

22. In 1999, he received an Honorary Citizenship and Key of Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

23. His marriage to his beloved wife Pastor Mrs. Folu Adeboye has last more than five decades.

24. He established a world class prayer village known as Mount Carmel in his hometown, Ifewara, Osun State, Nigeria.

25. In the year 2000, he dedicated the First Chapel in the Nigerian Presidential Villa, FCT, Abuja, Nigeria. 

26. In 2005, he received the Key to the City of Detroit in USA.

27. In 2010, he was awarded a National Sports Honors as the Spiritual Pillar of Nigerian Sports. 

28. In 2011, he chaired United Nations Global Summit on the Roadmap to a culture of peace in the Middle East.

29. In 2011, he received an award as the Most Profitable Icon/Personality in Nigeria. 

30. In 2005, he received Honorary Citizenship and the Key to Baltimore, Maryland, USA. 

31. In 2005, he received Honorary Citizenship and the Key to the City of Dallas, Texas, USA.

32. In 2008, he was awarded a National Honor (Order of the Federation Republic of Nigeria) by the then Nigerian President.



33. He had his last child, Pastor Leke Adeboye few years after he became a General Overseer.

34. As a General Overseer, all his four children are married with their own adorable children.

35. In 2008, he saw to the establishment of a forum for children of pastors, ministers and workers in RCCG known as Pastors' Seed Family. This Forum has several chapters across the World.

36. Messiah's Marathon Praise which is organised to praise God for his life is now a record breaking event. 

37. In 2004, he was awarded a National Honour, Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON)

38. Under his leadership, RCCG is the First Pentecostal Church with African Origin to be registered in the Nation of Israel.

39. Under his administration, RCCG is well represented in several countries in the Arab World. 

40. His goal of making heaven and taking as many people with him is in full swing and it is progressing wonderfully.
