PRAYER IS NOT DIFFICULT
1 Thessalonians 5:17
pray without ceasing,
Have you ever heard someone say something like, "it's true prayer is difficult, but just try. If you've heard that or something similar from someone, they only lied to you. Maybe they don't know it, because even they may believe a lie, but the truth remains the truth regardless!
Prayer is not difficult. The scripture never said it is. To think so is to think carnally like a babe. Jesus made us a house of prayer. This was fulfilled for you the moment you got born again. You are not expected to function by the limitations of human strength, but by the Holy Spirit who helps you.
The first step to doing this is admitting that a change has occurred in you. The Holy Spirit in you is The Spirit of prayer. So if you walk with Him, you cannot struggle to pray. Apostle John said the commandments of God are not burdensome (1 John 5:3). That means they are not difficult. The commandment is His Word, and a part of it is to pray without ceasing.
This simply means, it is not burdensome to pray without ceasing, because the Word of God is truth. Most times, the problem people have is with their mentality. If you believe a thing is difficult to you, then that's how it will be. Refuse to think that prayer is difficult. Change that worldly mentality, and meditate on this Word of God. Embrace and flow with a beautiful and effective prayer life. You're blessed. -TCF
