THE SPIRIT IS YOUR EVIDENCE
1 John 3:24
And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us.
Sometimes, Christians have terrible experiences in their walk with God (sometimes being as a result of their own irresponsibility) and sometimes they lose sight of God. Sometimes they begin to wonder if God is still with them or in them as they go through such. If you've ever been in such a situation as this, pause for a moment, and search within your spirit.
There's the witness of the voice of God, reminding you that He never left. You only got too conscious of the outside world, that you lost consciousness of the Spirit in you. The Spirit Himself bears witness with your Spirit that you are a child of God (Romans 8:16). That you are in Christ, and Christ is in you.
The Spirit is your evidence. You need to understand this and be confident about it. The Holy Spirit is never going to leave you. So long as you remain in Christ, no matter what happens, He will never leave you. Jesus Himself gave us that assurance, so we can count on it (John 14:16). The Spirit will abide with us forever.
Reject the fear and lies that God leaves you. No He doesn't, and the Spirit is your evidence. You must be conscious of His presence in you, by abiding continually in truth. That's where the reality of eternal life is. In continually abiding in Him. Remain close to Him in fellowship. Remain on the Word and in prayers. You're blessed. -TCF
