THE SUCCESS OF JESUS
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
II Corinthians 1:20 NKJV
Have you realised that many Christians are not conscious of the success of Jesus? Many times, we are conscious of what Jesus came to do, but many; don't know, aren't sure, or aren't conscious of whether those things which He came to do were actually successfully done.
For example, in Galatians 1:4, apostle Paul says that Jesus gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age. Many believers may know that this is what Jesus came to do, but many don't know whether He has actually delivered them, or if it's something He is still going to doing.
Many are still looking for their deliverance, or hoping they get it one day. Why? Because they aren't aware, or conscious that the story of Jesus, is not just the story of a mission, but the story of a successful mission. Our theme verse tells us, that all the promises of God have their certainty (their fulfillment) in Christ. This is true!
What did Jesus mean when He said on the cross, "It is finished (completed, perfected)! There is nothing which Jesus came to do, that is still waiting to be done! If you ever read that He came to do a thing, then you should know and be sure that that thing has been done, successfully! And so you have, not just the mission, but the mission fulfilled! Glory to God!!
Prayer: Glory be to God, who has, through Jesus Christ, delivered me from darkness, death and sin, and has translated me to the kingdom of Christ, who is the love of God. All Christ came to do are finished, done perfectly and completely, and I am a fruit of your success in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
