REFUSE TO BELIEVE RELIGIOUS LIES 1
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Many times when the devil tries to tempt sons of light, he tries to appear as though he is also of light. On many occasions he uses scriptures to try to deceive the elect of God. He tries to appear more spiritual and religious than the sons of God themselves
Take for instance the question the Rabsheka of Assyria asked Hezekiah in Isaiah 36:7. 'If you say "we trust in the Lord our God" is it not He who's high places and alters Hezekiah has taken away, saying Judah and Jerusalem must now worship at the altar in Jerusalem? The Rabsheka knew nothing about the God of Israel, but He tried to accuse the Israelites in such a manner that seemed as though he was more spiritual than they were.
This was the religious spirit of lies at work in him. The spirit of the devil. He does this in order to deceive sons of God, by killing the confidence they have in God. He tries to make children of God believe that God is angry with them, or that they have gone astray; by misinterpreting scriptures or using religious gimmicks to deceive them. All these are religious lies, and we must disbelieve them.
We must remain in close fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and choose to trust His voice and His voice alone. Let every other voice be a liar, and only God be true. No matter how the devil disguises himself, discern him, and disbelieve him, by remaining in the fellowship and listening to the Holy Spirit in you. Never lose faith! You're blessed. -TCF
