GENERATIONS ARE AT STAKE

ISAIAH 39:8

So Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the LORD which you have spoken is good!” For he said, “At least there will be peace and truth in my days.”

Many times, we make the mistake of thinking that God's dealings and workings with us are just for us alone. We forget that we are saved, and called to become saviours to our world and generations yet unborn. When we walk like this, we are likely to make the mistake King Hezekiah made.

He committed an error, and the consequences were not for him, but were to affect his descendants and nation, even those yet unborn. The consequences would come after his reign as King. Hezekiah didn't have a problem with this, because he was happy that until his death, he would know peace.

He cared less about the generations to come. God doesn't want us to live like that. He wants us to understand that in a way, the fate of nations and generations are dependent on our actions and inactions. We must learn that we are not just living for ourselves.

Our life is lived for Christ, but will affect many people connected to us. If we fail in our responsibility, God will demand the consequences from us. We must be responsible, and live as sons who understand the things at stake. Don't be nonchalant and complacent with your life. You are to be a blessing to generations and You must fulfill your mandate! You're blessed. -TCF
