WHAT IT MEANS TO BEHOLD

2 Corinthians 3-18

What all men born of Christ need to understand is what it means to behold the Word. For a while it has been mistaken that the Word is just scriptures and is limited to the scriptures, and that beholding the Word of God is limited to studying the scriptures, and so men believe this and live in this limitation. However the Word of God is not limited to the scriptures. The Word of God is God Himself (John 1:1) The Word of God is Christ who became flesh as Jesus, died and rose again eternally as the Christ forever. The Holy scriptures (because all scriptures are Holy) are inspired by Him, by the Spirit of God. The scriptures testify about Him. However, you will not receive this testimony unless He, the Spirit of God, who inspired the scriptures reveals this testimony who is Christ to you.

We understand from Jeremiah 31:33 that in our new birth through the new covenant the laws and instructions of the Spirit, who is the Word of God is written in our hearts. He is put within us. That's how and why we're saved. Thus at every point in our lives as believers in Christ, we have the Word of God in us. That's the secret to continuous beholding. So we study scriptures by He who is in us, and He testifies about Himself through the scriptures in us. When we are not studying scriptures, we are still beholding the Word because His voice still keeps speaking to us in us. We can't speak what's not His Word, because He is in our heart, and out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Thus by the life in us, speaking of the Word in us, we continually behold the Word. We never stop.

In our new birth, we are totally transformed to His total Image. Now this transformation continues always, from glory to greater glory. And we live by the Word of God who is continually revealed in us (Deuteronomy 8:3). This life in us is what produces a consistent scripture study life, so we continue to behold even more. We never stop. So to behold is to continually receive (hear, see) revelation of the Word in you. The revelation is experiential because it happens in you. (Galatians 1:16). Christ is continually revealed in us, and it's given unto us as sons to receive His revelation. We continually behold. We never stop. Receive Christ today and join the sons of God. And dear son, never stop listening to the voice of your father in you. Remain blessed.
