SONS OF THE DAY
You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. I Thessalonians 5:5 NKJV
As you study the scriptures, you become familiar with the pattern of communication concerning "light and darkness", and "day and night". Light and darkness do not refer to physical brightness or dimness, neither do day and night refer to physical daytime and nighttime.
These are spiritual terminologies used to refer to the domain willingly submissive to Christ, and the domain which is rebellious and ignorant of Him. To be sons of Light and sons of the Day means to be in the generation of those who are submissive to Jesus Christ willingly.
To walk as in the day means we have direction and do not walk as blind. It also means we are the custodians of Light. We have the illumination that the world needs. We have the direction and light for this dark world.
We have the right spiritual understanding to bring deliverance and healing to this world, because we know what the problem is, and in whom the solution is. Glory to God. Therefore we walk in the light, being children of the day, because we live by the life of Christ in us. Glory to God!
Affirmation: I am a child of the Light, and indeed, I am the light of the world. I have solution to the darkness in the world. I have the solution that people need. It's in the gospel of Jesus Christ by which I live. And as I live and preach this Word, I bring many to the light of Christ in Jesus name. Amen.
