LIVE IN HOLINESS
For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. I Thessalonians 4:7 NKJV
The call of God in our lives is very clear. The call, refers to what life we've being called to live in Christ Jesus. The quality and type of life. Now this call is not merely a mandate or demand placed on us, which we should struggle to get to. No. It's simply in reality, the true life that has been put inside of us, to which if we pay attention, we will express and live out.
Dear brothers and sisters, we've been called to holiness. For God so loved the world, that He gave us His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but receive eternal life. We've received eternal life in Christ.
But what is eternal life? Eternal life of the very life of God. The life by which God lives as God. This life of righteousness, holiness, love, justice, peace, joy, perfect health and so on. And the reason we've received eternal life is so that we can quit living by human life and start living by eternal life.
You see, by human life, it's possible to live unholy, It's possible to live in worldliness. But definitely not by in eternal life. Eternal life is the separation from the ways and systems of worldliness, embracing your union with Christ. Choose to walk in holiness.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for your selection over me, to make me your child, one who is separated from this world unto you. Now I choose to live holy and consecrated to God, staying away from the contaminations of the world, in Jesus name. Amen.
