A LIFE OF GLORY
that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.
I Thessalonians 2:12 NKJV
Our theme scripture reveals something to us. That in Christ Jesus, we are called into God's kingdom and God's glory. This means that just as we have arrived in God's kingdom, through our birth into Christ, so also we have arrived in God's glory. We now live in the glory of God.
This means our life in Christ, is a life of glory. We ought to exude the glory of God from our hearts and life. But then, what is this glory? What is the glory of God? In Romans 6:4, apostle Paul said, that Christ was raised from the dead, by the glory of the Father.
Again, in Romans 1:4, and Romans 8:11, we can see that Jesus was declared to be the son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness by the resurrection of the dead. That is the Holy Spirit. It was by the Holy Spirit that Jesus rose from the dead.
Thus, the glory of God, is the Holy Spirit of God. We are in God's glory, because we are in the Holy Spirit. He shared His glory with us, when He gave His Spirit to us. And so emphatically, to live in God's glory, is to live by the Holy Spirit. Are you being led by Him daily? Are there things you're involved in strictly because He led you into them? How much God's glory, does your life reveal?
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for sharing your glory with me. Now I live in your glory who is your Spirit. I reveal your glory, by walking in the Holy Spirit. I'm led by the Spirit, through faith in Christ Jesus. Amen.
