THE POWER OF INTERCESSION
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
James 5:16 NKJV
Many times, when we read the scripture from James 5:16, we're just focused on the part that says, the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. This is true, and many times, it is associated with making power available to win against Satan, his demons and so on.
While that's only an aspect of it, don't miss out on the first part of the scripture. Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. This tells us something. That praying for another person will work healing in their lives.
Many people are hurt, and going through terrible times. Many people are struggling just to stand. Sometimes, they open up and share what they're going through. Our response should be to pray for them. Both with them, and in our closet. While, It's beautiful to advice and encourage people,
many times, those may not achieve the desired results just yet, until we begin praying for them. When you pray for people from your heart effectively, you help them heal. You help them get restored. You help them stand. This is the power of intercession. Pray for someone today. Glory to God.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for the lives of all your children who have come to you. I thank you for salvation which you have made available to the world. I pray dear Lord, that all who are going through a challenge be strengthened and experience your help and mercy on their lives, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
