WALK IN LOVE
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.”
1 Peter 3:12 NLT
Do you know that one way to have speedily answered prayers is by walking in love? When you walk in love, you do what is right both to God, and to others. Our theme verse says, that the eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and His ears are open to their prayers.
This means that when you treat others wrongly, and do not walk in love, you inhibit your answers because your prayers wouldn't be heard. And why wouldn't your prayers be heard? Because God is punishing you? No.
James, in chapter 4 and verse 3 of his epistle said "You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures." This is the prayer lifestyle of someone who doesn't walk in love.
When they pray, they pray amiss because they are consumed with other desires that are not of God, and their prayers are a reflection of those desires. We must not live like this. If you want your prayers to be answered speedily, if you want to live in the hearing of God, then learn to walk love.
Affirmation: I am a child of love. The love of God has been poured out in my heart by the Holy Spirit who lives in me. Therefore I live right. I walk in love, to the glory of God in Jesus name. Amen
