AN OBLIGATION TO LIVE HOLY
but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
I Peter 1:15 NKJV
When you were born again, you were sanctified unto God, as His own possession. You were sealed with the Holy Spirit, who separated you from this world, and from the people in the world. You are holy unto God.
Now that you've been made holy because of the presence of the Holy Spirit in you, you have an obligation to live a holy life unto God. You have been sanctified as God's purchased possession, now you've got to live a sanctified life unto Him.
The manner in which we conduct ourselves in life matters a lot. The things we do, the things we say, the things we give ourselves to. They should in no way bring shame to the kingdom of God.
We should rather commit to living in a manner that glorifies God. Don't just live according to the trends in the society, or according to your unrenewed desires. No. Allow the Holy Spirit guide you, and lead you on what life to live, and to fulfill God's purpose for you. Hallelujah.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for selecting me to belong to you. Thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit, to set me apart from the world. Help me Lord to continuosly live a life that pleases you, and to do the things you want me to do, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
