THE REALITIES OF HEAVEN
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
Colossians 3:1 NLT
Have you ever thought of what the realities of heaven are? These are the substances of the inheritance that Christ Jesus brought to us. Romans 14:17 puts it this way, "for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."
Christ brought a life to us. And this life is filled with a heavenly experience. This experience is what the conditions of the human nature, and the circumstances of this world seek to take away from us.
Many people are too focused on the affairs of this human life. They are filled with thoughts that bother only on their earthly existence, and then they toil to meet their earthly desires. Sometimes they do this at the expense of their peace, their joy and righteousness.
Sometimes at the expense of their love, their faith, and their hope in Christ. Sometimes this leads them to a life of sicknesses, sin, and pain. But these aren't God's plan for you. You can have a better life experience, if only you'll make His word the place your thoughts rest. Change your focus in life to Him.
Affirmation: Christ is my focus. He is my priority. I don't live for money, I don't live for friends, I don't live for my career, I don't live for family. I live for nothing else but my Lord Jesus Christ. And I focus on all He has to teach me. Thank you Lord in Jesus name. Amen.
