... more than a devotional

But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.

1 Timothy 1:16 NLT

Have you met people who you believe cannot have a future in Christ? Maybe their lives are so bad and terrible and you see no hope for them? Of course there are many people who seem that way. Even many people think that way about themselves. They think they've drifted so far from God that now there is no more salvation left for them.

Well, like apostle Paul said, Christ Jesus came to die for sinners (1 Timothy 1:5). Not for those who already have their lives figured out, nor for those who are already born again. No. He died for those who seem like they have no hope.

He died for those who seem like they are dead in sin and cannot be redeemed. He died for those whom the world will readily condemn. Our theme verse says that Christ has patience with even the worst sinners. That they too can believe and receive eternal life.

Don't give up on anyone. Don't give on yourself. You are not too far gone. No one is too far gone. Christ died to redeem people from their sins, and resurrected to bring them into the kingdom of His inheritance. If only you'll believe this message and confess Him as Lord of your life, you'll be saved. Embrace Him and He will not let you go. No one is too far gone.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I believe you, that you love me so much and gave your life for my sake. I confess that you are Lord of my life. I also pray dear Father for all who need to receive your salvation message, that their hearts be opened to the truth of your word. And that they receive eternal life. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
