DON'T BE UNWISE
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17 NKJV
It is wisdom to know and walk in God's will for your life. Our theme verse says "do not be unwise, understand what the will of the Lord is." It is foolishness to walk (i.e to live) without the knowledge is God's will. God's will is light. You can't go wrong or fail when you're in His will for you.
A few verses above our theme verse says, See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, Ephesians 5:15 NKJV. To walk circumspectly means to walk carefully, with guidance and counsel.
And what other counsel makes one wise except the counsel of the will of God. It's expedient for us to know and follow God's will for our lives. It's not difficult for you to know God's will for yourself. That's actually why the Holy Spirit came into you life.
He came to guide you into all truth, and to help you understand the word of God. He came to reveal Christ to you. So if you will embrace the Holy Spirit, and give yourself to studying and meditating on God's word, along with the Holy Spirit, God's will will be made known to you.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for your presence in me. Thank you for your word and your Spirit in me. I thank you for you help me to know and understand your will for my life. I choose to live by your will in Jesus name. Amen
