DECLARED CHILDREN OF GOD
concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Romans 1:3-4 (NKJV)
Every person on earth, was born from earthly parents. Though not everyone might know their parents, no one fell from the sky. There's definitely a father and a mother for every child. And same was true for Jesus.
Our Lord was born on earth from earthly parents, Joseph and Mary. And so he was a descendant of David in an earthly sense. But our theme verse makes us understand that there can be more about the birth of a man than just his physical personal records.
And so the same Jesus who was born of earthly parents, was actually declared to be the son of God with power, according to the Holy Spirit, and this was evidenced by His resurrection from the dead. Therefore those who know Jesus only as a man who lived on earth, don't truly know Him.
But this is also true for you who are born again. Those who only know you as a child of your earthly parents don't truly know you. There's more to you than the information of this world. Because just a Jesus was declared the son of God, you too are a son or daughter of God, and this is evidenced by the Holy Spirit who lives you! Hallelujah!
Prayer: Dear Father,I thank you for pouring out your Spirit into me, and granting me the privilege to call you dear Father. I love my lord. And as you have called me for a purpose, I'll live to your purpose in Jesus name. Amen.
