CHRIST AS THE FOCUS
for I made the decision to know nothing [that is, to forego philosophical or theological discussions regarding inconsequential things and opinions while] among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified [and the meaning of His redemptive, substitutionary death and His resurrection]. 1 Corinthians 2:2 AMP
You see, there are many forms of knowledge in this world. In school, for example, many things are taught. Some might be important for certain aspects of life, while some are very unimportant. But then they're still taught anyways.
In the abundance of all knowledge available to man for learning, only one type of knowledge leads to life. Unfortunately, this type of knowledge that leads to life is not taught in most schools. This knowledge that leads to life is, the knowledge of Christ.
The knowledge of Christ leads to life because it is the only knowledge that offers deliverance from death of all types without limitation. While medical knowledge tries it's bit, it is highly limited and so still falls short.
So imagine that you've spent your life in school, learning things that propel you to a limited life. Things that offer expertise in only a very little aspect of life. This is why you need to prioritise now more than ever, the acquiring of the knowledge of Christ. Because where all human knowledge fails, only the knowledge of Christ, which is eternal life prevails. Hallelujah!!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for granting me the access to know you. For you have said that eternal is the the access to know and recognise you as the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I choose to know you primarily, and to live by you, in Jesus name. Amen.
