HIS VOICE IS NOT FOREIGN
“And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.”
John 10:4 NKJV
Jesus let's us know that His sheep will know His voice, and therefore will follow Him. We who are born of God are the sheep of the Lord Jesus Christ. So we have this assurance that our hearts will recognise the voice of the master.
This is just like a child recognising or knowing the voice of her mother. It's as though it's inherent. There's a recognition. A knowing, a peace, that this is my mother's voice. Sometimes it's not even about what the mother says.
But the child has been brought up by the mother and now that voice is registered in the child's memory. We are born of God. And there's a peace that comes with His voice to us. His voice might not even say exactly what we expected to hear.
His direction might not be exactly our ambition. But then, we'll just know that the only place peace is, is in His voice. He is your Father, and He loves you. He knows how to communicate with you. Only let your heart truly desire to hear Him.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for your voice to me, and for reassuring me of your presence with your peace. My desire is to hear you and follow you. Thank you Lord for speaking to me in, Jesus name. Amen.
