GUARD YOUR HEART

“And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him,”

‭‭John‬ ‭13:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Do you know that not every thought in your heart originates from you? Most times thoughts are inspired by several factors outside of you. The things that happen outside you can inspire thoughts inside you.

God who lives in you can inspire thoughts inside you, and even the devil too can inspire thoughts inside you. But you see, for thoughts to be inspired, there's got to be a door way through which the thought came. For Judas, the door way was greed.

He had the money box and used to steal what was in it for himself. (John 12:6). So the devil put the thought of betraying Jesus in Judas, not because Judas hated Jesus, but because Judas was greedy for money, and would even betray the master for money.

You see, this is why we must guard our hearts, against being vulnerable to the devil's thoughts. And if a thought that isn't right slips into our hearts, we must get rid of it immediately. Don't let it stay, lest it develops the wrong action from you.

Affirmation: I refuse to hold the devil's thoughts within me. By the word of God and His love, my heart is preserved and kept from wrong thoughts. I think only on things noble, kind, holy, good in Jesus name. Amen
