WISE BEHAVIOUR

And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the LORD was with him. 1 Samuel 18:14

David was Annointed to be King of Israel in place of Saul even before Saul departed the throne. But in this period, the Spirit of God had departed from Saul and was now with David. The news of David's annointing was not a secret to David.

He knew God had chosen him, and knew God had anointed him. In other words, he knew very well he was God's chosen man to lead the people of Israel. To all this what was his response? Humility and wise conduct. Certain believers today consider the call or blessing of God upon their lives,

as an opportunity to become proud. Some others think that the promises of God are an opportunity to behave foolishly. For example, some learn about divine health, and think they can intentionally expose their bodies to the wrong environment because of divine health.

No. Always remember, that the blessings of the Lord are never an opportunity for you to act without wisdom. Irrespective of what you have been promised, always seek to walk in wisdom, because Christ is wisdom.

Affirmation: I realise that the blessings and promises of God to me are not an opportunity to get puffed up or act carelessly. I choose to walk in wisdom, by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, in Jesus name. Amen.
