TRUST HIM TO PERFECT YOU
Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Galatians 3:3
Sometimes, after people get born again, they try to grow onto maturity by their own efforts. By their human wisdom, they scheme what activities they must do in other to achieve the growth they want to see.
You see God wants you to grow in Christ onto maturity, but interestingly, you cannot grow by your own human efforts. You cannot make yourself grow. And God does not expect you to make yourself grow. He has told us to depend on Him to perfect in us what He has started.
We can’t perfect it ourselves. So what many need to understand is how to depend on Him. It is His grace at work in us that builds us to perfection. And this grace is multiplied within us as we consume more of the word. That is why Apostle Paul commends us to "the word of His grace" (acts 20:22).
There is more grace in the word. Those things you are struggling to do or become by your own human efforts, God’s grace will work them out in you effortlessly. Give yourself to His grace. Give yourself to His word.
Affirmation: I choose to allow the grace of God in me to bring me to perfection. I cease to try to achieve on my own what God desires to achieve in me effortlessly. I choose to let Him, by letting His word permeate through me, and fill me by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus! Hallelujah
