DEAR YOUNG MINISTER; YOU ARE NOT DOING BAD IN MINISTRY FOR NOW

THE YOUNG MINISTER:

YOU ARE NOT DOING BAD FOR NOW:

If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth; and if a tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there shall it be. He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.

Ecclesiastes 11:3-4.

One of my protégés was very concerned about the absence of commensurate growth in the church in response to the level of output he gives and the miracles that his ministry is characterized with.

When he spoke to me, I told him, “You are not doing bad at all compared to the age of the ministry and years in ministry.

I shared few things with him that got him encouraged and back to deploy himself to work.

Another one told me how despite being faithful in applying covenant principles, there was no return of favour upon their lives and the ministry.

I told her, “This is your planting season, remain faithful in planting and weeding, harvest season is coming”

Without in any way encouraging ecclesiastical laxity, it’s equally important to understand that several factors influence and determine the season of results in ministry other than labour and faithfulness in covenant practices.

I will enumerate a few but please permit me not to explain the details:

1. Who you served.

2. Where you served.

3. How you served.

4. How you left.

5. How you started.

6. Age of ministry.

7. A history of honour or dishonour etc.

Full details of the above will be downloaded during EASE CONFERENCE-16-20 of November 2022.

These are just some silent foxes aside the established ones we are often taught either in Bible Schools or ministers conferences.

Most times the enemy  causes you to focus on the results of other Ministers and ministries just to create a picture of suffering, defeat, failure or struggling in your own life and assignment. This breeds discouragement, discouragement deflates momentum and stifles creativity and innovation which in turn establishes long term defeat.

WHAT TO DO HAVEN ANALYZED THE ABOVE STATED FACTS:

1. Ask questions.

2. Remain consistent with joy.

3. Keep sowing the word into the people and into the land where you are.

4. Remain excitedly and consistently committed to covenant practices.

5. Understand that consistency of actions impact seasons.

6. Love the land where you are.

7. Genuinely love the people you pastor irrespective of class or status- remember the mighty men of David.

8. Never speak ill of the land, the people or the leadership of where you are. It’s possible to criticize actions but never join those who abuse or talk down on the leadership of the state where you are. (This is a long teaching that may come up someday).

9. Sow into the land where you are- prayers, goodwill and other CSRs.

10. Honour those who have genuinely laboured in the land before your arrival.

In summary:

Take your eyes away from the results of ministry and focus them on your daily deliberate actions.

Genuinely rejoice and celebrate with those who are reaping today but keep sowing.

Refuse strife, competition, envy or anger towards those in season.

When your heaven is full of your positive and consistent investments, it will respond with rain of harvest.

May you not give up before your time!

The spirit of discouragement is deleted off your emotion now!

I declare the release of ministry helpers unto you in Jesus name!

You will laugh very soon!

Hope this helps?

You can share with others if you are led.
