THE LEGITIMATE BREED
“God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.” Galatians 4:5 NLT
More than twice in the scripture we are admonished to put on the helmet of salvation like a protective spiritual armor over our lives. To put on the helmet of salvation is simply to have a confidence and assurance of the security of your salvation since you believed in Jesus Christ.
This is so important because the devil will often pull attempts to make you feel as though you should doubt your salvation, or doubt your position as a child of God.
But what did Jesus say in John 14:18, I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. And indeed, He came! Jesus came as a man under the law, and paid the price for your freedom from the law and the elements of this world with His own life.
He brought you into God’s family, by putting the Holy Spirit in you, who is the guarantee/seal of your adoption as a son of God. God wants you to know that you belong to Him. You belong to Christ. To touch you is to touch God. You are His seed. Live with the truth in view.
Prayer: Father I thank you, for choosing me as one of your beloved. I thank you Lord for choosing me as yours in Christ! Thank you Lord because you help me to make progress, even as I grow with this truth mindset. In Jesus name. Amen.
