The assignment of the anointing that comes through the word is to check and correct everything that is inconsistent with the word of God. 

Text: 

Proverbs 23:23

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. -

Matt 13:44-46

V44. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 

V45. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 

V46. Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

The factor that distinguishes men in this kingdom is the degree to which they have access to the truth. 

Dominion is the resultant effect of the value that an individual has placed towards the pursuit of the truth. The pursuit of the truth will cost you. 

When it has to do with accessing the truth,its a product of exchange. The receipt for buying the truth is the life of exploit. The word of God is the exclusive compendium of truth. 

WHY DO YOU NEED THE TRUTH?

John 8:32

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 

The truth is revealed by the liberty it brings. 

Truth has the capacity to bring freedom. 

FIVE CURRENCY TO BUY THE TRUTH

1. HUNGER AND DESIRE(Proverbs 4:5-9 and 18:1, Matthew 7:7-8)

You are where you are because you are not hungry and desirous for the next level. The presence, power and glory of God is free but not cheap. The jealousy of God demands that He becomes your ultimate obsession. Hunger and desire drives you to fast,embark on a retreat and live a life of consecration. 

2. MEEKNESS AND HUMILITY (1Corinthians 8:2, James 2:1, Philippians 3:4)

It is in the character of God to test you with what He wants to give you and see your reaction before He totally entrusts it to you. 

Many preachers have pegged there greatness because of arrogance of little results. 

3. GENUINE CONNECTION AND FOLLOWERSHIP( Proverbs 13:20, Hebrews 6:2)

The price for followership is not convenient, its by revelation

4. FAITH(Hebrews 11:3)

Faith doesn't just give, it reveals. Truth always looks powerless till it meets the challenge its meant to defeat. 

You can sell the truth through compromise, complacency and weariness.
