THE ESSENCE OF PEACE AND LOVE
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: Hebrews 12:14
Through the last parts of the epistle to the
Hebrews, the need for peace and love among the brethren is emphasized again and again. The essence of peace and love among people cannot be over emphasized. Notice the pattern of the devil;
He tries everyday to turn brother against brother and sister against sister. He wants the husband to believe the wife is the issue, and the wife to believe it's the husband. He wants the masses to believe the church is the problem, the citizens to believe it's the men in government, etc.
He keeps fighting hard to ensure humans see other humans as the problem. Why does he do this? Because he wants to frustrate the peace among people, and the love we should have among ourselves. In these days, offences will occur and many folks will overstep their boundaries.
But this is the time to shine the light of love and forgiveness the most. The only reason you need to forgive is because of Christ who lives in you. Be quick to apologize. Refuse to be the reason another fellow gets offended. Choose to be the reason there is peace between you and others. Be a blessing. TCF
