PUT UP THE RESTRAINT!
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14
We learnt yesterday that though the powers of darkness are already at work in the world, there is a restraining force against them that wouldn't let them go all out as they'd have loved to.
We, the church, who live for Christ are that restraining force against the mystery of lawlessness. Because Christ can only truly operate through we, His children on earth. We therefore have a responsiblity to perform our duties.To shine our light, to function as sons
and ensure that the devil does not do more than what the word permits for the season. We put up this restraint through things we do in both our secret place and very importantly our public environs as well.
The power to withstand the devil is made available through fervent activities in the Christians secret place. And the application of the power made available should come to the public market places. We would need a good balance of the two to shine our light effectively. You're blessed. TCF
