EVEN IN BAD DAYS... PRAISE HIM! _ Victoria Ifeanyi

Even on your bad days.. Praise him!!

Psalm 42: 5

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me?

Put your hope in God, for I will get praise him, my savior and my God”

It’s easier to talk to God and call him sweet sweet names when things are going well for us. It’s easier to say God I love you when we have everything we want, when we wake up and remember that the sun is shining bright and our hearts are happy and singing for Joy. It’s easier to love everything about God and yourself when you’re feeling high and fly. It’s easier to tell people that God is good when things are okay with us and with the people around us. 😌

What happens when everything goes down? What happens when we don’t have what we want or what we need to make us smile here on earth? What happens when everything falls apart in our lives? What happens when we wake up and the burdens of life wake with us and settle again on our hearts? What happens when our hearts are heavy and we just want to hide and not be in the midst of human beings? What happens when it becomes harder to pray? To see God’s goodness or kindness? What happens when we feel the supposed “God’s silence” in our daily battles/struggles?

Can you praise God then??

It’s really hard actually to praise God in the midst of our struggles. It is in man’s nature to disobey😂 it’s in man’s nature to ask stupid questions like “God where are you?” It is in man’s nature to pull away from our maker once we feel “He isn’t responding fast enough.” It’s easy to blame God for everything because things are bad at the moment. Trust me I’ve had that experience☹️

But like always.. Our merciful and ever faithful Father, the only one that knows our thoughts better than we know our own thoughts brought these words to me.

“When times are good.. thank me

When times are bad.. thank me”

😂 I had a feeling that those words are in the Bible.. so I started searching for it. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I didn’t search long

Ecclesiastes 7: 13-14

13: Consider what God has done.. who can straighten what he has made crooked?

14: when times are good, be happy; but when time are bad, consider God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore a man cannot discover anything about his future.”

Sometimes when it becomes too hard for me to pray. To see God’s kindness because things are just falling apart in my life. I write letters and address it to God😂 Cause my lips can’t move. And then I wait for him to answer me😂 I behave like a child sometimes🤷🏻‍♀️ ( I’m God’s babygirl though) And it’s amazing how he answers immediately. I feel joy instantly.. peace; my problems haven’t gone away but I’m happy. And then I open my mouth and say “Thank you God, you are too kind“

His love is overwhelming...His banner over me is love. So I’ve learnt that no matter what I face in this temporary world.. My God is good!!!! And I’ll praise him no matter what. His praises won’t leave my lips.

No matter what emotion you’re feeling (depression, anger, sadness) God knows how to break through them and let his light shine upon you.

All you have to do is to let him in. And praise him!!!

1 Thessalonians 5:17-19

Vs 17: pray continually

Vs 18:  give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Praise God in the storms of your life. Cause God knows what he’s doing. Our God is faithful. And he won’t just leave you alone in the storms of life cause your storms are his storms as well.

Meditate on this word:

1 Corinthians 10:12-13 “ So if you think you are sanding firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has seized you except what is common to man and God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he can also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”

Why will you fall???? When Jesus Christ has taken the fall for you?? You are Victorious.

Praise God!!!!

Let God’s children say Hallelujah!!!!!

God bless you
