A JUDGEMENT AWAITS US
And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; 1 Peter 1:17
The scripture makes it clear that for us who are in Christ, a judgement awaits us. The judgement which awaits us is not the white throne judgementwhich precedes the second death (revelation 20:11), but is described as the judgement seat of Christ 2 Corinthians 5:10).
In this judgement, our works done during our stay here on earth will be checked by the standard of God which is His word. Those works that stand the test of the Word will be beautifuly rewarded by the Father of lights. But those works that don't stand the test of the Word,
That is, those works that don't fit God's standard by the Word will be burnt with fire, and go without a reward. (1 Corinthians 3:15). A judgement truly awaits us.All our works and actions will be checked. There are books wherein all that we do for Christ is being recorded, and God is joyfully waiting to tell us well done.
But only those deserving of a reward will be rewarded. Work out your own salvation with godly fear and trembling.Ensure that your actions, inactions and motives are pure before God. Live with a sincere heart before God and men, because a judgement awaits us. You're blessed. TCF
