BE INFORMED BY THE WORD
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16
Sometimes people find themselves going on and on in cycles. They pray and pray, but the same things just keep happening. Even when it seems like they're about making progress, they get right back to where they've been spiritually and otherwise.
The thing is this; it's good to pray and beautiful to fast, but many many persons have ignored the Word, which is the wisdom of God!Without an indepth fellowship with the Word, you'd remain a spiritual illiterate no matter how much you pray. You'd be uninformed and untrained in spiritual truth and wisdom.Thus you'd end up being at the mercy of the devil's deception.
If you must learn to fight a good warfare, then you must be a consistent student of the Word.Otherwise, you'd be fighting, but always defeated.The Word of God is where the power of God is. Your prayers can only make power available, when you're praying the Word.
Your prayer can only keep you above sin, if you're praying the Word. Your prayer can only keep the devil in his place, if you're informed by the Word. You'd get to know Christ through His Word. Without the Word, your life would be a perfect example of trial and error. Refuse this. Go for the word! You're blessed. TCF
