Topic: Fear is an enemy
*For reading and Meditation:* Mark 4:36-40
*Thought:* Men that scale through the greatest Challenges in life are not men without fear but they are men that refuses to allow fear surmount their faith.
*Memory Verse:* Mark 4:40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
From the question of Jesus Christ "Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no Faith", it can be deduced that those men that were with Jesus Christ on the ship were men full of fear but void of faith.
The question now is, do you fall into the category of those that are full of fear but void of faith?
One of the greatest of mistakes many people have made is to fear sore the unknown. They got themselves so worried that they forgot the supremacy of that which they can access in God.
Like the disciples, all they were looking at that particular chaotic moment is the storms and waves that was beating into the ship. Their center of focus was shifted from Jesus Christ who was right there with them on the boat to the dauntless wave that has come to create fear in them.
They even thought that Jesus Christ was careless about their safety which prompted them to asked "Master carest thou not that we perish?"
Probably you have found yourself asking similar question like God when will you answer me? Is this how I will live in pain till I die?. Praise God! for you have gotten a good news today and what is that good news?
The good news is that God never wanted you to suffer and he never created you to suffer. Therefore, you must be rest assured that you are secured in him but one thing you must do. What must you do in order not to perish?
Part of John 3:16 says "....... Whosoever believe in him shall not perish".
To be free from perishing you must totally believe that God is far above those problems or weaknesses in your life. You must admit that there is a more powerful God who can swallow up every storms and waves in life.
The disciples could have possibly calm the storm themselves but for their voidness in faith and great capacity in fear.
The truth is that it takes Faith to be bold and once there is this boldness to resist oppositions without fearing them, they automatically flee from you.
To inherit the promises of the word, you must be diligent as you journey across by holding steadfastly to God in Faith and remaining calm until you get across.
Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Fear is disastrous and it is an enemy discard it from your life today.
Assignment : Personally make a list of how you can overcome your fears.

Decree: I command you to stay far off me you spirit of fear.
