LOVE, THE EVIDENCE OF LIFE 1
We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. 1 John 3:14
Having received salvation by faith through Jesus Christ we know that what He gave to us is His Life (John 17:2). His very eternal life by which He is. And today we see that the evidence of being in Life is that we love. The fruit, the result, the expression of true Life is love.
We know that we have passed from death to Life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother bites in death. _He who does not love_, abides in death. Anything short of love for others is a product or fruits of death. Indifference towards others instead of love, is a fruit of death.
Envy, lust, resentment, jealousy, against others are fruits of death. If truly you have moved from death to Christ, then you must love. Note that people don’t need to deserve your love before you love them. Because you are not loving them for anything they’ve done, but because of who you are, the child of love.
See the example He sets for you; "we love Him because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19). This was even when we hated Him. So if you love only those that deserve your love, then you are a child. To be born again is to love people regardless. We know we have Life because we love! You are blessed. TCF
